Paul Hoare CPA B.Bus – Partner
Paul is a qualified CPA with over 35 years experience in accounting.
Paul started Riverview Accounting at Cotton Tree after 29 years of working for various accounting firms in Rockhampton.
Since starting his own business in 2004, Paul has built a large client base on the Sunshine Coast while still retaining many clients from his early years of accounting in Rockhampton. Riverview Accounting had grown into a well respected practice that had outgrown its small office at Cotton Tree; in 2009, Paul & Chris Carmichael took on a new venture and joined in partnership to create what is now Pinnacle Accounting & Business Services.
Paul specialises in tax compliance, small business consultancy and self managed superannuation fund audits. Paul is also a great source of information and provides extensive advice to our clients when required.

Outside of Pinnacle
Paul enjoys playing squash, morning walks along the beach and fine dining in the evenings with his family.
Chris Carmichael CPA B.Bus – Partner
Chris is a qualified CPA with over 15 years experience in accounting.
Chris joined Riverview Accounting in May 2005 and over the next four years built a great working relationship with Paul Hoare. In 2009, Paul & Chris took on a new venture and joined in partnership to create Pinnacle Accounting & Business Services.
Chris specialises in small business and self managed superannuation fund consultancy.
Chris's qualifications include:

Chris enjoys playing touch football, golf and fishing.
Sharyn de Silva – Accountant
Sharyn is a CPA Qualified accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) degree. Sharyn initially commenced her accounting career in the commercial sector before moving to public practice in 2003. Over her career she has assisted a wide range of businesses in various industries, including trade work, developers, professional sportspersons, builders and the hospitality industry. Sharyn's main area of focus is small business, covering tax planning and tax compliance. Sharyn also enjoys working with Self Managed Super Funds.
Outside of Pinnacle
Outside of work Sharyn tries to spend as much quality time with her family as she can, getting out and about and enjoying the coast as much as possible. Sharyn also loves quiet early morning catch-ups with her favourite people.
Rachel Cran - Accountant
Rachel has worked in accounting firms for 10+ years, starting as a school based trainee. She started university straight out of high school and has remained in the tax accounting sector ever since.
Outside of Pinnacle
Outside of work, Rachel enjoys going to the beach with her daughters, hitting the gym and hanging out with friends.
Louise Currey - Accountant
Louise has completed a Diploma of Business and has over 20 years of bookkeeping experience.
Outside of Pinnacle
Outside work Louise enjoys running, spending time with her children and bushwalking.
Carly Pike - Business Development Coordinator
Carly started with Riverview Accounting in 2008 and moved with the business when it became Pinnacle Accounting & Business Services. Carly spent most of 2013 travelling and exploring Australia on an unforgettable journey with her partner. At the end of 2013, Carly's lap of Australia finished up back on the Sunshine Coast, and she was re-employed by Pinnacle Accounting.

Carly enjoys visiting places she has never been to before with her family and relaxing with friends.
Kerry Philp - Client Services Assistant
Kerry started with Pinnacle Accounting in April 2013, coming from many years of experience in a wide range of roles in State Government. Not only has Kerry fit perfectly into her role with the firm, she also enjoys the daily challenges of her position.
Outside of Pinnacle
Kerry enjoys walking her dog, the gym, camping and spending time with family and friends.
Joanne Watts - Client Services Co-ordinator
Jo moved to Pinnacle Accounting from another Sunshine Coast accounting practice in October 2014. She has many years of experience in administration and accounting both in public practice and in the family business.
Jo enjoys working with people and helping them solve their problems.

Jo likes to spend time with family and enjoys paddling her surf ski.
Kate Horley - Client Services Assistant
Kate has worked in reception and admin for more than 15 years and loves interacting with all our clients.
Outside of Pinnacle
Kate enjoys beach walks with her dog. Spending time with her partner and children and going camping and bike riding. She also loves a good coffee by the water.
